Hello there! I used to have a ton of blog posts back when I was mainly a wedding photographer, but then life happened, and I re-branded my business into a luxury portrait photography studio with a brand-new website and 0 blog posts!
If you are wondering why I stopped focusing on weddings, the truth is that a traumatic experience caused me to view the weekends with my family as something I didn't want to give up regularly. (If you've ever had miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy, or fertility issues-- I'm sure you can unfortunately relate). As someone who truly enjoys capturing such a momentous event and is consistently told by wedding guests, "You're really good at this..." Weddings have been a really tough thing for me to give up! However, I am still happy to talk with clients about engagement sessions, bridal portraits, or couples/family portraits in their wedding attire! My favorite thing would be to capture an intimate wedding ceremony with just the bride and groom's families at a pretty location in beautiful late afternoon light. I'm already envisioning the dreaminess of it!!
So anyway, here I am... a very different person than I used to be running a very different business than I used to have-- so I thought I should re-introduce myself and let you know what I'm up to, now!
This is me & my sweet family!
Growing up as a tomboy, deep down I always wanted to be fancy & a little luxurious, but I didn't know where to start! My headshot is a good representation of how far I've come, haha! (It's also a testimony to the amazing power of professional hair and makeup--thanks K Rich Beauty)!
The other image is my ridiculous fun side. Some people won't get it, but that's okay! My husband & I enjoy watching "The Goldbergs" and thought it would be funny to recreate an 80s-themed family portrait similar to theirs. It makes me giggle every time I look at how well my son nailed that "close your eyes while laughing at the camera" pose!
It's been fun studying fashion and finally understanding my own personal brand, but the best thing is being able to go into my clients' closets and help them choose what fits them best & will make them look phenomenal in their portraits. Because I know there are often multiple facets of people's personalities & styles, I'll often recommend multiple looks-- one that's a little more upscale and another that's more relaxed. If you're more of a "jeans & t-shirt" kind of person-- don't worry, that photographs really well, too! (Tomboys can be sophisticated, haha)!
So, what are my favorite things to photograph now?
-
Professional headshots/beauty
-
Families & extended families
-

Some general FAQs...
I shoot in my own personal studio located in Sharpsburg, GA and/or on location as needed. (Sharpsburg is a small town very in between Peachtree City and Newnan, but very close to Senoia, Tyrone, Fayetteville, & Brooks).
Professional hair and makeup artistry is included in each session.
You will most enjoy being photographed by me if you appreciate guidance on what to wear and how to pose, while also keeping it light & fun.
I also help my clients choose the best images and design professional wall art & products based on their home aesthetic! I try to make everything easy and take as much stress out of the process as possible.
